Skate in your browser
The Skate 3 Rust and Bevy engine compiled to WebAssembly and WebGPU, with a clean-room asset pack: every texture and sound regenerated, no retail pixels shipped.
Needs Chrome or Edge 113+ (WebGPU). It's a large download, and the first load compiles shaders.
Your browser doesn't expose WebGPU. Try a recent Chrome or Edge on desktop.
Controls
Keyboard and browser gamepads both work. A gamepad plays best: each stick does what it did on the Xbox 360. Use the map picker to switch maps, or add ?map=Name to the full-page URL.
What's in the pack
- Regenerated: all 7,681 textures, each rebuilt from coarse facts (size, a color grid, an alpha outline) plus new detail noise, and 27 player sounds.
- Kept, as facts: map geometry, collision, grind rails, the skater rig, animations and physics tuning.
- Not shipped: music, speech and everything else from the disc.
A taint scan compares every regenerated file with the retail one: 0 failing. How it's built →
Known limits
The three big districts (Downtown, University, Industrial) aren't in the web build yet. Web audio is a simple clean-room driver, not the desktop build's exact audio.
